With access to the engine, people now probably have access to at least some of the highly guarded development tools that help make some of the best AAA games on the market in Horizon and Kojima's Death Stranding. The build itself has some kind of debugged version of the Decima engine (it's probably gated in some way), the proprietary engine made and used by developer Guerrilla Games. While a cool look behind the curtain for what this kind of AAA game looks like years out, the fact a non-public build has been leaked might pose massive issues. This is the game in a state where it wouldn't have been finished for PS5 or PS4 yet, so it all looks really weird with unfinished menus and textures missing. So, you'll have to trust us when we say that it's out there and it is massive news. We presume this leak was likely the result of having work-from-home employees during the pandemic as it was dated June 2020. ![]() If there really is a crossover with Fortnite, well probably find out soon. While everything looks legitimate from the YouTube footage we have seen of the Horizon Forbidden West alpha build, we cannot link to any sources as this was not meant for public consumption and it's likely this information was gotten by nefarious means. Horizon Forbidden West will be released on February 18, 2022, for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. We found the link on Reddit to a website called psxhax.
